                               RESOLUTION NO. 21289
                 
                 
                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
                  APPROXIMATELY 3.6639 ACRES OF PROPERTY,
                  ADJACENT TO THE NORTH HAWTHORNE STREET
                  LANDFILL, FROM LORI L. SHALETT FOR A TOTAL
                  CONSIDERATION OF THIRTY-SEVEN THOUSAND, SIX
                  HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO AND 94/100 DOLLARS
                  ($37,622.94).

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       purchase of approximately 3.6639 acres of property, adjacent to
       the North Hawthorne Street Landfill, from Lori L. Shalett for a
       total consideration of $37,622.94, and an agreement to indemnify
       the seller as to any environmental damages caused by the City's
       prior use of the property.
